My first tattoo (just after it was finished)… inked by Bryan Randolph at Spider Murphy’s Tattoo in San Rafael. The anchor has many meanings, but it has been a symbol of hope for thousands of years. I don’t always have the best luck when it comes to love and relationships, but I hope, someday, that will change.

This was taken the day after I got it done. This tattoo symbolizes the struggles that I have had. But most importantly, that I’ve been clean from heroin for 5 years now.

My new tattoo — It’s a Baskerville ampersand in italic, designed in the 18th century by John Baskerville (you see what he did with the name, right?) it’s been a favourite of mine ever since my ampersand obsession got started. In fact this very ampersand is probably what ignited my love for them.
